Mara Families

The female lines are the strength of Mara Herefords with femininity, countainance, quality and success that goes back a long way. The herd is line bred very heavily to the great Tarrington blood that was the cornerstone of the breed. Some of the current stock have as many as 10 to 16 crosses of Wabash Allen IX in their pedigrees. Allen is pure Tarrington "M" on his dam's side of his pedigree with Vern Diamond very prominent on his sire's side. There are six female lines at the Mara all from illustrious parentage.
